Small Text Generator

Turn ordinary text into tiny Unicode letters - small caps, superscript and subscript - that you can paste into bios, usernames and posts.

Tiny text maker

These are real Unicode characters, so the result can be pasted into places that strip formatting - chat apps, bios, usernames. Screen readers may struggle with them, so use sparingly.

About Small Text Generator

The Small Text Generator converts what you type into three miniature Unicode styles: small caps, superscript (raised letters, as in x squared) and subscript (lowered letters). Everything is generated live as you type, right in your browser.

These aren't a font or an image - each output character is a genuine Unicode code point. That is why the result survives copy-paste into places that strip styling, such as chat apps, social bios, display names and comment fields, where an ordinary small font wouldn't carry over.

Unicode's small-letter sets are incomplete, so coverage varies by style. Small caps and superscript cover the full a-z alphabet plus digits 0-9, but subscript exists only for a limited set of letters; characters without a mapping pass through unchanged. Input is case-insensitive, and anything without an equivalent - punctuation, spaces, unsupported letters - is left as-is.

Because screen readers often cannot interpret substituted characters, tiny text can be hard for assistive technology and some search fields to read. Use it for short, decorative touches rather than essential information. The tool is fully client-side, so nothing you type is uploaded.

How to use it

  1. 1Type or paste your text into the input box.
  2. 2See it instantly rendered in small caps, superscript and subscript.
  3. 3Copy the style you want from its output block.
  4. 4Paste it into your bio, username, post or message.
  5. 5Keep it short - decorative Unicode reads best in small doses.

Common use cases

  • -Adding a distinctive small-caps or superscript flourish to a social bio or display name.
  • -Making a username or handle stand out in chat apps and comment sections.
  • -Writing simple superscript marks or exponents where a text field offers no formatting.
  • -Styling short headings or captions on platforms that don't support rich text.

Frequently asked questions

How does the Small Text Generator make tiny text?
It maps each letter you type to an equivalent Unicode character - small capital, superscript or subscript. These are real code points, not a font, so the small text stays small wherever you paste it.
Why do some subscript letters look normal?
Unicode defines subscript forms for only a limited set of letters and digits. Characters without a subscript equivalent are passed through unchanged rather than replaced.
Will the small text work on Instagram, X or Discord?
Generally yes. Because the output uses standard Unicode characters, it pastes into most bios, usernames, posts and chat messages that accept plain text. Exact rendering depends on the platform's font support.
Is tiny Unicode text accessible?
Not fully. Screen readers and some search functions struggle with substituted Unicode letters, so reserve small text for short decorative accents rather than important or lengthy content.
Does the tool store or upload what I type?
No. Conversion happens entirely in your browser, so your text never leaves your device - there is no server processing and no tracking.
Can I convert numbers as well as letters?
Yes. Digits 0-9 are supported in small caps, superscript and subscript, alongside the letter mappings.
